Welcome To Zoë

"Jesus Came that we may have Life More Abundant!"

About Zoëkids

Hello and welcome to ZoëKIDS,  a ministry of First Baptist Church.  We believe Children are a blessing from the Lord!  What a privilege it is to serve them!

First, let us introduce you to Zoë.

Zoë is a word from the ancient Greek that means “Life in God”.  John 10:10 tells us that Jesus said, “I have come that they might have life and that more abundantly.” This meaning for life is the word Zoë, life more abundant.  This is what we want to teach our children, so we have called our Children’s teaching and ministry time Zoë1 & Zoë2.

Hearing God’s Word and His Truth.

At ZoëKIDS we don’t believe in simply entertaining the children.  We desire to bring to life for them the truths of the Gospel.   It could get messy.

If I say all the right words to parents and children, but have not love I am only an annoying drum or an irritating symbol.  If I know all about  child  development, provide the finest toys, and keep everything spotless and germ-free but have not love, I am nothing.  If I give my time and energy to the children’s program but have not love, I gain nothing.  Love is patient when kids fuss and whine.  Love is kind when a child needs correcting.  Love does not play favorites.  It does not compare one child with another.  It is not self-satisfied.  Love is not inconsiderate of others’ feelings.  It is not determined to have its own way.  It is not easily irritated when someone disagrees.   It does not hold a  grudge even when someone else is wrong.  Love does not enjoy talking about a child’s misbehavior but happily focuses on the good things each child are learning.  Love always hopes, protects, perseveres; love never fails!  (Gospel Light)
